We STILL Still Need Volunteer Students Sept 6 and 7. An hour of free yoga, and the rewards are infinite!

Our upcoming Iyengar Introductory I Teachers Assessment is coming up at the end of this week, and we are still in need of general beginner students to make a regular sort of class for our candidates to teach.  If you wish to volunteer, we will be happy if you are healthy, not menstruating or pregnant, and uninjured.  At this first level of assessment, the candidates are not required to deal with health issues or special conditions.

Each candidate's teaching assessment lasts 30 minutes, and there is a 15-minute gap between each person's event.  If you were to very kindly consent to be one of our volunteer students, you will attend and help out with two consecutive classes totaling 1 hour and 15 minutes total of your time, to help out with two classes.

Your job will be simply to be an average uninjurednot menstruating or pregnant, beginner yoga student, and to follow only the instructions you are given by your teacher, as if you hadn't already learned those poses before.  All asanas taught are basic, introductory-level poses.  Nothing complicated, nothing out of your range.

Here are the remaining open parts of our schedule for Saturday 6 Sept., and Sunday 7 Sept.

Some of these only need one more to make a proper sized class; others need as many as three, so you can tell we still need lots of help.  Lend a hand (and all the rest as well) and help us make a proper class for these people who have worked so hard to get to this point.  Your reward is largely to be found in the heart of Iyengar yoga wherever it is taught, but there will also be fruit juice and cookies and cashews in the foyer after you are done.

Email me, Devon, at devond108 at gmail.com and tell me what day and class times you want to help with, and I will sign you up and reply to confirm.

As always, we all are grateful for any help for our community of teachers and practitioners,

Om Shanti,

Devon
